Would a Hartke HD112 cabinet be enough to gig with?

I used to use 8x10 and later 4x12 cabs. I am now using 2 1x2 cabs and they kick. I’d go with a single hydride 1x12 and add a second one later if you need it. You won’t be disappointed!
IME , in a rock band , no.
Most of the time I gig ampless (if there are decent monitors at the venue) or with a Hartke Transporter 4*10 cab and I don't need anymore.

Well I've gone ahead and purchased myself a used bg208 somebody was selling and have spent the last hour and a bit messing around with it, and to be honest I have a fairly mixed opinion about it.
First of all in terms of weight and portability I give it an a+. The ability to add an extension cab is great aswell. The TonePrint options are surprisingly nice aswell, there's quite a lot of them that are quite useable and a lot of others that aren't. Furthermore having to hear the loud screeching sound from my phone everytine i want to switch the toneprint quickly got extremely annoying.
But to get to the point it really doesn't sound good at all. I'm playing through a passive aria pro II pj bass and it's extremely bass heavy and lacks definition in the highs. It almost sounds like there's a constant sub octave going on and my tone knob is rolled down, neither of which is the case.
And as for the eq, the tc electronic "smart" eq is extremely unnatural sounding. Dropping the bass literally sounds like some frequency are simply dropped. Cutting the highs makes it sound like it's underwater. Boosting either doesn't allow for any pleasing tone either. The most acceptable sound is a flat eq and even that suffers from overbearing bass and missing highs.
I'm left quite sorely disappointed to be honest by the whole ordeal. My old Hartke hd25 watt 1x8 combo sounds vastly superior...

i have the bh250 and just got a hydrive 112 and i played at a 300 member church with pa support and i wasn't even at half on the volume like 10-11 o clock ...
i also have a 2x10 hydrive cab on the way n im planning to do a mini stack ... i play with 2 keys 1 electric guitar and drummer and the single 112 was enough in that scene ... hope this help

I would stick with a 8 ohm 1x12
And if you need more sound pressure/ volume add another matching 8 ohm 1x12
The sensitivity of the 2x8 is low and adding a 1x12 to that doesnt offer much efficiency. No need or benifit from unmatched rig.
All together a single 15 would offer the most overall sensitivity/ volume and if you added another 1x15 later it would simple crush a mismatched rig. And the tone and consistency would be better.
Either way you have a 4 ohm minimum and 250 watt amp so make the best of it and stick with 8 ohm cabs so you can add to the rig and not exceed the min load.

The new Hartke HD112 is switchable, 4 or 8 ohms. I hope it works cuz I just ordered one from Sweetwater. The guy said it works flawlessly.
