That is not how that piece works. Like all apc's, they only kick over to battery if the the voltage they receive is less than ~104v or greater than ~134v. There are some power conditioners that will reconstitute voltage by apc, furman and others, but they are closer to 1000$, not 60$. On top of that ups' are meant as emergency back ups to stay on just long enough to avoid getting the sudden kill in power or the spike of it coming back on. If it is hooked up to a pc, it gives you enough time to properly shut it down. A pc draws what, about 100w max? A ups is not meant for power amps current draw. A cheap furman is basically a nice power strip with a fuse, that will at least have a voltage readout on it to let you know when the house power really sucks.
