Would you do this, for this?

EDIT: PLEASE DISREGARD. I was temporarily insane. :eyebrow:

I know, I know... its a very personal/preference type of question. So, for simplicity, if you can, just Yes or No.
(costs are equal)

Sell this:
1974 Rickenbacker 4001

If costs are equal no. How much is your rick worth?

I know I'm being an idiot even posting this question. But just wanted to hear response.

I'm the third owner of my Rick and it had the back of the neck sanded already, and someone had replaced the tuners - and a poor job at that. Had my Ric since '83, and have done all the work you see in the photos of the ad. Luthier did truss rod adjust - ONCE since I've had it, a few months ago.

Just would really would like to have that new P bass. I fell in love with the feel and that P sound. Family man me takes a long while to save 1400 outside of family and life for his hobby (not playing regularly anymore). Guess I'm jus' nuts :help:

This is nuts. I think I'm sorry to have wasted everyone's time.
:scowl:
:hmm:
:)

The Ric bridge pickup soloed and run through the Ric-O-Sound jack with a mono plug (so it becomes a VT circuit) really mimics some of the P Bass sound with a bit more clarity and less honk so you can always try that as an internal approximate. Roll the tone off and it begins to cop that Pino Palladino kind of thing. I'm sure some are shaking their heads but I've done this on many a gig.
