Would you guys like bound and blocked necks on am. std??

Hey I was wondering, what if fender were to put bound and blocked necks on their american standard line of jazz bass like they did in the 70s. Maybe even do it to the p basses?

Would you guys like to see it? Would you buy one?

I wouldn't. I'm not generally a fan of blocks or binding. Sometimes it's cool though, like of a 70's Fender

Jazz basses yes, never ever on P basses though.

Rosewood boards, clay dots, and lots of honest wear epitomize the pinnacle of what Fender bass necks can be, at least for me.

Blocks are cool, particularly black ones on a maple board with a black body, but not binding. Makes refretting more difficult.

Blocks and binding on a Fender is just tacky imo. I'd rather have wood on the fingerboard instead of plastic or whatever that god awful stuff is made of.

Dig it on a J, always. On a P, it looks out of place, though it is starting to grow on me from seeing all those new model P's with black BnB.

I think an option of black binding with pearl blocks on a maple fingerboard neck would be amazing, but I won't hold my breath.

Plus, if I really wanted a neck with that I think I could order that from other companies. These comments come from a fender fan.

binding not my thing on any bass. blocks are ok. i want dots or only side dots on dark fretboards.
