Would you guys like bound and blocked necks on am. std??

Carrots, mostly. I can't see the dots or blocks on the neck when I play, so it just doesn't matter. What I would like is a neck with no dots anywhere except the side. Binding doesn't matter to me, either.

I like my Am. Std. Jazz Maple the way it is.

I voted yes but would want it as an option. Love the look but for certain situations it can come off as too much "bling."

The practical issue with binding is that it makes refret jobs a big headache.

The rest is aesthetics and how much you get caught up in appearance. I've gigged basses of both varieties that were great instruments. My personal pref is to avoid the bling on a Fender. But, no one generally notices on the bass; so, no big deal either way.

And I suspect that won't be a problem for most. How often do you expect to do a refret?

Depends how long you have the instrument, how much you actually play it, and whether you bought it used. I currently have two basses that have been refretted.
