Would you make this trade?

I'm selling a guitar on craigslitst. It's a Fender Deluxe J 24 V 5 string.

A guy just offered me a trade for a 1992 MIM Precision in Immaculate condition. I'm still waiting for pics of his guitar. He claims it would be worth more than my J anyway. I don't know what 92 MIM P's are worth.

So would you take that trade?

I also have someone offering a 77 P Bass but not original finish or pups on it.

This is my J V. If I get pics from him of his P I'll post them too.

Definitely not the MIM. If I wanted to trade for the P, I'd make him add $150 or $200 on top of the P for your bass.

The MIM no way, the 77 would depend upon what condition it is is. Even without the original finish the 77 is worth much more than the MIM P is

Do not even respond. Delete his email and put it behind you. He doesn't deserve the courtesy of acknowledgment.

Yeah, I thought the MIM was questionable too. That's why I figured I'd ask around here because I know there is lot more experience. I know I was not that impressed with Mexican Strats (from my guitar days) so it struck me odd that a Bass MIM would have value.

I owned an MIM P from that era (maybe 93 or 94?) - definitely nothing special, I'd much rather have the bass you're selling.

I think I'll go with the consensus on this one. I appreciate the info gentlemen. As I said I have no experience with MIM P's and not that much with P's anyway. Definitely knew this was the right place to ask the question though.
