Would you play a flower Precision?

I would play that until rainbows shot outta my ass.
I would play it just to have that happen. Oh, yeah.

I've seen a couple of single coil P's where the G string caught under the edge of the pickup and pulled it out of the body.

Not a problem if you're a finger player, more of a concern for hard downpickers.

Or metal. Or country. Whatevs.

tape or file the end of the pickup or lower the pick up because it's a passive and sounds better like that. that's what a lot of players do

I think it's a great-looking bass...as is the pink paisley one posted.
I'd have no problem playing it at all.

As for what people would think of it...
Don't we now live in a world where most people are too politically correct and mindful of others delicate feelings to comment on a terrible life choice? :D

I was wondering when this would come up :D

In another thread, I decided that tort makes everything look better, except for large metallic flake finishes, and, now, flower fenders can be added to the list.

Paisly, too, I suppose. But other than those three finishes, tort makes every finish look better. There, I'm glad that's settled.
Which makes me wonder. Does anyone make transparent pickguards for basses with artier finishes?
