take the finish off the neck, And the fore arm contour, then I would useit as a back up because the neck is prolly chunkier then my P with a Jazz neck. lol

I've seen a couple of single coil P's where the G string caught under the edge of the pickup and pulled it out of the body.

Not a problem if you're a finger player, more of a concern for hard downpickers.




Or metal. Or country. Whatevs.

tape or file the end of the pickup or lower the pick up because it's a passive and sounds better like that. that's what a lot of players do

What are you talking about "chunky neck"?

Uprights are cool but I prefer a doghouse setup. versus a classic style.. not good enough to bow the beast. the thinner and rounder the neck the better. plus no finish like your picture.

I just had a conversation with my oak tree and we both agreed it agrees with our inner soul to play a flower Precision.
Just not on Tuesdays between 6:30 and 8:00 PM.

In another thread, I decided that tort makes everything look better, except for large metallic flake finishes, and, now, flower fenders can be added to the list.

Paisly, too, I suppose. But other than those three finishes, tort makes every finish look better. There, I'm glad that's settled.

Which makes me wonder. Does anyone make transparent pickguards for basses with artier finishes?

Yeah sure, if it sounded OK and played well. What do these old 51 p basses sound like anyway. I cant imagine the output sound being very tight.
