Would you put a urinal in your house?

Should I install a urinal in my basement bathroom?

I'd like to hear the reasoning of the people who clicked no :scowl:

As someone said it has to be cleaned more regularly and you still need a regular toilet to poop in. Splash back is another thing that seems more common with urinals. The convenience factor over a regular toilet is minimal. I also automatically associate urinals with the stinking toilets in pubs. I think the money spent should go towards a small flat screen opposite the toilet.

+1. I don't see how the urinal would actually be an improvement over a proper seat.

How about one of these?

It called flushing. try it sometimes, you don't flush the bathroom smells like poop/pee. and the bathroom in bars are heavy traffic areas, so they get used more.
In recent memory I have not had to deal with urinal splash back. Try this next time "Aim low near the drain." or try using one of the lower Urinals.

Urinal>>>> Pee Trough any day of the week

Here's a compromise for the wifey:

^ Aye, for the hearty lass!
no man, get a bidet, im telling you, nothing more pleasant than washing your bum in warm water after a good crap :smug:
Your man card may be in danger, sir. :eyebrow:

A couple of months ago we were installing some new bathroom tile in a home with a bidet.
Having never seen such a thing I was standing over it looking down when my boss pulled the lever.
Took it full in the face - and I'm 6' - 0". We howled for a good five minutes! :D

As far as peeing outside - the world is my urinal!
An indoor urinal would rock -- no trough tho :atoz:
