wow...i really want a convolution reverb!

SIR is free, and very good. There's so many free impulses out there, too. Convolution reverb is a lot more common than you might think. Have fun!!
they are really cool, altiverb can make it sound like you are playing through a tube, or inside the cabin of a 747 jet!

i checked out SIR, and i see its a VST, to which i don't have any hosts for VST, but maybe I can find a free one for mac as well

Good luck with finding a free one for mac. There are a lot more free VST/VSTis for Windows... the day someone makes an mac plugin that works as an adapter to run Windows VST/VSTis is the day that someone becomes a millionaire.
