So I love my P bass but had a hard time finding the strings that were right for it. Then I found these and Wow! I'm inspired now. If you like flats but never tried tapes, give them a try!

I’m currently venturing into the tapewound world, with the big discounts in the TB store right now, i picked up a set of LaBella Black Tapes for my Tony Franklin fretless, and liked them so much i just got delivery yesterday of a set of LaBella White Tapes! Haven’t gotten a chance to put them on my EBMM Stingray yet, but looking forward to trying them out.

Also, if you like rounds but never tried tapes, give them a try! They really are their own kind of thing...and not a hybrid of (nor substitute for) flats and/or rounds.

I wonder how tapewounds will age?

If the set on my Rob Allen bass is any indication: They don't!
Seriously, I've had the same set of LaBella 760N black nylon tapewound strings on that bass since 2007. I bought several more sets of those strings so that I'd be able to swap on a new set just as soon as the original set started to loose its sound...and I'm still waiting!
