Writing abstract lyrics?

Just about all of my lyrics are vague and abstract. There is always a subject but until I explain it, usually nobody has a clue about it. Also I might not even have a clue about it either until a key word or phrase presents itself. That's when I'll take what subject the song has created and elaborate on that. Weird I know but it works for me.

For example if you go to our link here and listen to "Summer Small" it's about a girl named Summer Small who likes to catch animals and I guess torture them by hanging them up on her bedroom walls where she then sits back with next to nothing on and enjoys her fetish while her parents are away. It's a really sweet song.
