Xerograph and Oxide Topologies

on mine there's a blend and an overall volume, so no spikes to worry about.

and yeah, i don't do a LOT of filtered stuff with my band right now, but there's a few spots. but when i do and with jams it can go from subtle to GOD MAKE IT STOP (in a good way) and pretty much anywhere in between.

Matt Dean- Nice clips! You just sold me on the Oxide. I'm ordering it after I get paid this Friday. I can't deny it's place on my board anymore.

Behndzity- I've never seen that video of Eric! rocking the Xerograph. My jaw dropped. Ritz fell out of my mouth.

With the volume knob, there's no issues with volume spikes at all.

You're going to love it Robert... and yes, that video of Eric self-oscillating is sick; especially with all the lights on at the same time.


I read in the classifieds that someone sold their Oxide cause they thought it got lost in the mix. I've been using it in live situations and rehearsals and find that it cuts just fine. It just depends on how you set it. Because, the oxide does mystical things inside and produces rich harmonics, the brassmaster side of morph sounds wide and rather 3D. Which, if you're playing with a clean tone guitar player, it really sounds good.

If you're playing with a guitar player that overdrives or uses distortion a lot, it might get lost. But, then you just move the morph dial to the gated side and voila, you've got knife edge cutting going on.

just got a new camera. thing is NIFTY. there's a little stupid clip up here of the Oxide.......

I agree about the Moog pedals being pretty crappy. I think they're all the same with different labels - Bespeco, Moog, Line 6, some of the Rolands, etc.? I'm sure the Ernie Balls are much nicer. I've been using the Boss FV-500L (not w/ a Xerograph yet) and like it a lot better. It's big and sturdy with a much smoother sweep.

Here is a sample of the Xero with a dub setting. First, I play the riff with the Fathom set to a slightly scooped and deep setting.... the Xerograph with following settings:

4 pole–up–slow
Resonance: off – Frequency: 1:00
Sensitivity: off – Volume: 12:00
