Xerograph and Oxide Topologies

I recently received my four knob Xerograph filter and aldo have the Oxide fuzz.

When I received the Xero I discovered that the filter is very powerful and perhaps as a consequence, very sensitive to how you adjust it, and as a result, also very versatile.

The Oxide is also quite versatile with it's morph dial ranging from brassmaster like to gated synth, along with an EQ and clean blend knobs.

So, I thought that since there are now a number of Iron Ether users on TB, I'd open a thread on useful settings on the Xerograph and Oxide... and since the Oxide was made to play well with the Xero, we might as well include Oxide into Xero topologies too.

As a general starting place, I found good standard envelope filter sounds in the following settings:

4-pole
Up
Fast
Resonance–about 12:00
Frequency–1:00
Sensitivity–12:30
Volume–12:00

I just got these two beasts, so I'm still in experiment mode... but, I wanted to get the thread going.

So, lets share settings... and clips if you've got'em.

Great clips Matt. Just when I thought I had my Fuzz and filter combo nailed(actually I like my Chunk Systems Brown Dog and AgentOO funk just fine but this combo sounds great)!!!!

I really do think this is the golden age of effects pedals.... so many high quality and interesting builders out there right now. But, Taylor IMO, may be sitting at the top of the mountain (so to speak) in terms of originality, functionality and execution.

Your clips sound great and are making me want both of these pedals now. You say you have a four-knob Xerograph. Is that just the stock LFO model, or do you have all the envelope features? And are you using an expression pedal?

Check out the pic on the OP it shows that I got the full envelope model, minus the clean blend, as when I use a filter I want to hear it all.

yeah, i have mine pimped out with every available option, and the clean blend stays at about %75-%100 wet.

.... i love showing pics of that. Taylor always does crazy pretty work, but DAYUM he made that one delicious.

and the thing will self-oscillate!! here's Erukus playing with mine in a loop of audio MADNESSSSSS!!!
