Xotic Bass BB Preamp alternatives

Tried an Xotic Bass BB Preamp and I've loved it.

Are there similar, eventually more affordables, alternative pedals (tube screamer based overdrive/dist specific for bass)?

Me too loved the Xotic Bass BB Preamp but went for the [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] because after A/B'ing in the shop, I found them very similar except that MojoMojo was much cheaper
Both seem to go from colored boost, through light overdrive then to muff type of distortion but YMMV.

Not that I could hear with the subtle amount of drive I was needing, though, that is why both pedals feature a treble and a bass knob so that you can adjust to your taste.
However, my usage of this pedal is more to get a bit of "gritted boost" when soloing, not an always on type of pedal in my case and I am not involved in HardRock/Metal kind of music. YMMV

You can always look for the pedal used, sell some gear, save money. I think it's silly to not get what you like. You are likely to spend more money on alternatives trying to chase one tone. Think about it.

Tc mojo, fat and a little darker.

Mesa flux drive, keep bass knob at full. Crunch for days!

One control green little bass machine, also a little darker but great.

The CP-18 "Orange Burst" is supposed to be a clone of the original BB.

I actually bought one of those too last summer and like the CP-12 better.
