Ahh, I see. Sorry to Mike! I misunderstood.

Pointing in but out of phase -- I am pretty sure that will act almost exactly like an isobaric.

Frankly, I don't hear a huge difference between the two and I have 4 test review cabinets. Maybe a little less high end and a tad more mids with the push-pull. My intention is to ship any cabinets I sell loaded conventionally. Push-pull will be for those who request it. I takes a total of 5 minutes to remove the side driver, flip it 180 degrees and reverse the wiring polarity for anyone who wants to have a listen to push-pull.

I hope to have my cabinets charted later in the year.

Brad, I believe the xsonics uses the eminence 3012ho which sounds much different than the faital. This is why I bet they will sound different in the way I described. In fact, it is a certanty. My cab is wired with both drivers facing out.

The HO's as I had said would really benefit from this configuration. It would naturally reduce the midrange " wank" of the Ho's. They are probably the punchiest drivers out there.

Right again Chris. I started with the intention of using Faital Pro drivers in my cabinets. They certainly are MUCH less expensive, and who doesn't like that! To me, the Xsonics 212CF and 210CF sounded excellent with 12PR300's and 10PR300's but were a little lacking in high end clarity and sizzle. Once I tried the Eminence 3012HO's and 3010HO's there was NO turning back. For me the additional cost is worth every penny not to mention the additional 200 watts in power handling. These days American products are kinda cool to use too.

Im expecting this cab to hit like a mule. I'd probably prefer the tone of the 10's but, I need a one cab gig solution and the 12's fit the bill for that better. I think that alot of guys aren't exactly on the same page when I say that I need a loud cab. If you say that you play loud and then go on to talk about your 1x12 cab.....you don't play loud. Maybe I should say that I need a cab that hits hard. Even when Im not technically playing loud, I need a cab that hits you hard in the chest at a distance. There are just so few cabs that do this. I mean, even big cabs. The nv610 and eden xlt cabs are pretty much the only ones I can think of that do this, the way I want. My neo 8x10 is pretty good. Hit with a board to the chest, not a big pillow.

Got my cf212 today. Just an awsome cab. Definitely does the eden punch and growl with a much smoother tweet. Loud cab. This is the first cab that I've ever played that if blind folded, I would have guessed it was a multi 10" loaded cab. Has the eden type vibe but without that honk at 500hz. I actually prefer to run with the tweet off, turn up the treble and boost around 1.6khz just alittle. This thing is going to punch and cut live. It actually makes me excited when I play through it. I get that tight in the chest, giddy feeling.

The 3012ho's are such awsome drivers. I don't find them harsh at all. The tweet in this cab is crossed at around 4khz and sounds very smooth, natural. That said, Im really liking the tweet off, treble at 2:00, global high at 2:00, maybe 1.6khz at 1:00 and bass at 1:00. That sounds like a really grindy gig tone.

Im not sure if Im sick or not but, I did puke through my nose and lose 4lbs overnight. If I feel better after work, I'll make the video for this cab.

I use the 3012HO's in a 212/horn cab myself, and find them to be a very underated driver for bass. A tone that punches through the mix if needed, or a nice pillow on the bottom for the band, at least for a 4 stringer like me.

Hi jnewmark

I couldn't agree more. I tried 7 different 12's coming from 4 different manufacturers before settling on the 3012HO for the Xsonics 212CF. Certainly not inexpensive, but definately worth it, IMO.
