Alrighty... My mixer doesn't have a single main out, it has left and right main outs, and left/right control room outs... Is there some sort of adapter with 2 1/4" males i could plug into my outs that merge into a single 1/4'' female? The problem is, when I try to run the CD input, I only get audio from the left or right, depending on which line is running out to my amp....
Something like this Musicians Friend sells them. I think that you can get them at Radio Shack as well. Its the same kind of cable they sell for Parker Guitars.
It will depend on whether your amp input is stereo or mono. The cable above has a TRS (Tip Ring Sleave) input which is stereo. If your amp on has a mono 1/4 inch input, you will need a cable that "blends" the two signals together. The cable above keeps them separate, but only has one 1/4 plug input.
Make your own... Or: CBI Female 1/4-inch To Dual Male 1/4-inch Adapter Cable (12 inch) I use the Control Room outs on my mixer to feed my Bass Amp a summed mono signal while leaving the Main Outs for a Stereo feed to the Main Mix. Made my own: {}
Another Idea, I've had success with: You can always tap your TRS (Stereo) Headphone Out Jack from your mixer and just use a simple Radio Shack TRS Stereo male to TS Mono female 1/4" adapter ($2.99). Then just hook up with a regular Instrument Cable.
Why can't you just use one of your main outs? *edit* didn't see the cd player part. You could always, use a stereo to mono adapter off the cd player and you won't have that problem.
