Go check it out. I love mine and still play it from time to time. It is heavy but I love the neck on this bass. Classic P sound. (PS...I also have an Alembic, Lowend and Fender.)

That's a good deal on an underrated bass- I'd buy it in a second if I lived in LA.

Looks like I'm one of the few that thought this bass was a pile 'o caca. I dug the BB1200 but don't think that because it has the BB that it will be anything even close to the higher-end BBs. As a pure starter bass, maybe. But I couldn't wait to get rid of mine.

I love those basses! I'm buying a BB450 this week. Not your "hi-fi" sounding instrument but it's a great bass for the cash.

I no longer have stock electronics in mine, haven't in close to 20 years.

But I can tell you, this is the "bass that will be buried with me". Not my Alembic, not my 67 Gibson.

Sure, I'm biased because it was my first bass, but it is the most comfortable neck I've ever played, and one of the best basses I've played, if you're looking for a P-Bass that is.

I've spent the past two decades treating it like a guinea pig. It's got various holes drilled in, paint stripped, frets removed, etc. It's getting a full restore coming up soon, including refretting the neck I defretted, Nordstrand P pickup, ultralight tuners, Hipshot bridge, and a full refin in ReRanch Olympic white.

Well worth $150.
