Yamaha BB434 bridge options?

Hey all,

Strongly considering a Yamaha BB434 as a solid bass / upgrade platform.

One thing I’m wondering about is how replaceable the bridge is, given its special angled through-body stringing option. The stock bridge doesn’t have any grooves/guides to keep the saddles from moving side-to-side and the intonation length might be a bit short based on some earlier posts.

Would any 5-screw thru-body bridge be adaptable (maybe with a bit of drilling to extend the holes) or would I have to try to source the bridge from the 734?

I bought a new YAMAHA B434 bass and the only thing I didn't like about it was the bridge. So I decided to replace it with the type used on the higher end Yamaha BB (Broad Bass) basses. Here is a description of my conversion, including photos.
