So I just unpacked a Yamaha BB435 that I bought here on the classifieds. Plays great and sounds really good.
My issue is that the electronics completely drop out. It seems like it's the P volume pot ( passive, vol/vol/tone) but I completely loose everything and then fiddling with the P pot seems to bring everything back up. One of the P pickup cover and the J cover are both very loose and kind of rattling. Is this a grounding issue?
I opened the back cover and the solder connections seem fine.
I've done a sanity check with different cables and basses. It's definitely this bass.
Where should I look next?
