I don't know if they're going to be discontinued, but there are handful of online merchants that still carry them. The SLB200 can be had for around $2100 give or take a couple hundred bucks. I picked mine up new for $2000 through my local Yamaha dealer.

I've yet to see a SLB200 turn up on ebay, but have seen the SLB100's go for about $1800 - $2500. I think it'd be safe to say the SLB200's should hold their value relatively well. And the fact that the silent basses are made in Japan (which usually = quality craftsmanship and reliability), should help retain their value for a while.

I don't have any recordings of my BEX4 as of yet. I just bought it a couple of weeks ago. I'd like to add that all of the instruments in these recordings - guitars, basses, and keys - are Yamaha. The only non Yamaha instrument is the Ukulele.

Okay, I finally took some pictures and I'm ready to join the club. Until I found this thread I wasn't sure what model this was, but it looks like I have an RXB250F:

In addition to this bass I also have SBG2000 and FGX413SC guitars, and all my monitor cabinets are Yamaha too.

hey guys add another yamaha to my ranks in a week or so just snagged this beauty off ebay, same model as my current but quilt maple top.

im gonna pop a MM and a P in my sparkle 5, and do a MM style pick guard(thanks for the pickguard idea smo) so its like my 1st bass tanglewood MM copy with retrofit P.

Birthday pressie from her indoors, boo...she'll not let me play with it til then!
