I'm looking at possibly picking up a 34" scale JP for converting into a MIDI controller but have never played the new vs old scale JP's. Have been playing a 6 string Ken Smith for a few years and don't want to re-adjust my approach because of tension or neck scale issues. Tried a few basses, Roscoe has good neck and feel, close to Smith, but not enough room on the face to add additional electronics needed. Any suggestions?
