Double Bass Yamaha magicstomp URB patch

For you Magicstomp fans I spent some time coding an upright bass patch for the magicstomp. I used the parametric eq settings to make the 3 avaialble knobs as usefull as I could for UB.
The first knob acts like a sweepable high pass filter unfortunatly it sweeps from 20 hz to 20k so its only useable on the first part of the control 7 (20hz) to about 10 (150hz) The next 2 knobs act like a 2 band graphic the middle one is set at 30hz and the last one is set at 5k these are my 2 favorite graphic bands on my Fishman platinum pro-eq bass.
You should be able to fatten the bass up with the middle knob then use tha high pass to get rid of the tubby sound and or feedback. The last knob is set at 5k is great for taking away or adding fingerboard noise. I play in a rockabilly band so I use it to increase my slap sound. You magicstomp owners can download it here

its patch number 1 in the user library and is called "upright" the rest of this library is rubbish so just steal it and add it to your own user settings. Let me know what you think!

Have you used the feedback eliminator feature? Try it, it works great. When you hear feedback all you do is tab the pedal, goodbye feedback. Essentially what it does is knock that frequency out. The feedback eliminator is only availble for the acoustic patches.

I purchased the acoustic model the feedback works but to many notches ruins your sound. I dont use my magicstomp any more just as a on stage tuner. The patch I posted was trying to emulate the Fishman I now use.

Hmm, I thought they were using a better method as it attentuates the dominant frequency as opposed to a range of frequencies in the zone of the dominant frequency.

Does anybody know why they are discontinuing this thing? I don't know about the Acoustic but the EB (electric Bass) model is being blown out.

Maybe it just didn't catch on. The www.magicstomp.com website that they mention in all of their advertising is pretty weak. They brag it up as the place for users to share patches but it doesn't have much content.

You are describing a notch filter!
The MS uses a dsp so the filters are done digitaly therfore the Q can be sharper but if your pulling out a frequency its still a notch filter.
