Yamaha MG32/1 14FX mixer problems

I'm thinking of buying this yamaha mixer on the cheap, seller says some of the AUX SEND don't work and it has a few dead channels.
What could cause the aux send problems? Dirt? loose wires? I's been in a church all it's life, so no road abuse, and I wouldn't think that anybody played with the internal jumpers etc. All of your ideas and suggestions are welcome, thanks Greg

Generally a malfunctioning mixer is even less valuable than a malfunctioning amp, so unless You're well versed on repairing mixers, don't bother.

Unless it's dirt cheap.
1/3 of the normal going price or thereabouts.

Number of things can be wrong, including dirt and loose wires You suggested, but diagnosing those "single PCB" mixers is a major PITA.

The parts can be worth a lot (reasonably anyway) to someone though, so if You have the room and some spare change, go for it.

Not that great of a mixer in the first place, very lacking in headroom. They also seem quite problematic, I've seen quite a few go through the rapair shop. I'd pass.

Not a bad price.
I assume that there's no case for that price though, consoles like that absolutely require an ATA case if moved at all.
The chassis is pretty flexible and that puts torsional stresses on the PCB's, which flex as a result and fail.
IME anyway.

The price is the parted out price of the knobs, or 10 or so sliders, or 10 or so potentiometers, or the chassis, etc. so if You know someone who needs (or may need) spares it may well be worth it.

The problems themselves could be as simple as some loose ribbon cables, but if the console has stayed on one fixed location, that's very unlikely.

For that price -based on a quick evilbay search- You should have no problem to recoup your investment if you decide to buy it and aren't able to fix it.
