Yamaha NE-1... Anyone?

I played the Nathan East signature bass for a while and I believe the NE-1 circuit is built in there as well (?).
You basically got this one knob where you can sweep through while playing in the mix and you'll find this one setting where it gets just right. That bass was not mine, I borrowed it from a friend who was under the impression that it has a piezo pickup in the bridge and that knob controlled that and I treated it that way, but it always felt like you turn up that knob until it gets better and then you find that sweet spot where it's bang on and if you turn any further it gets worse again.

BBNE1 have 2 board preamp on the back, 1 for volume, 1 for mid control. as far i have tried, i cant find the sound what NE-1 pedal deliver. NE-1 provide different sound bank that bring you even more closer to 90s Nathan East sound.

This thing is very simple but very efficient, for the power supply, it exist a small adapter with battery terminal at one side and the usual connector at the other. My favorite setting is notching around 700 hz (one o'clock). I have similar tone with my more costly preamp but it add a little crunch very unique. It's a keeper.
