I think Yamaha makes a great bass. I would like to add a fretless someday. Maybe one of the new TRB's.

Just bought a BB414. Love the neck, the sound and the pup selector switch (always hated two volume controls). Out of 8 sets last weekend, Yamaha 7, Fender Jazz 1. Kind of says it all.

My TRB5P-II is one of the finest basses I own from the standpoint of tone, playability, and fit and finish. It'd see more gig time if it weren't so heavy.

Yamaha Attitudes all the way. P Bass on steroids. It also functions kind of like a Ric with the dual outputs...but is more friendly to finger style players. A great bass.

I have an RBX170 that I got for 100bux. I'm a guitarist who wanted a bass to mess around on and I have no complaints about it. Sounds and feels just fine.

I have a 250RBX 250F..A nice fretless bass, clean lines, black, and a lined rosewood (I believe) fingerboard. At the moment, there are no electronics in it save for the pickups. I took them out over a year ago when I broke a pot and knocked off the capacitor. Now I can't remember how they wire back in. Does anyone have a schematic for this bass? Thanks.

I have a BB404F and a TRB4-II. Love both of them. The only problem with the TRB is that one of the pickup screws has stripped out the wood below the pickup, so I'm going to get a brass insert for it, or tape the pickup down or something. Otherwise it plays and sounds great and is indeed a very solid bass.

Definately... I'd rather have an Attitude than a normal P-bass.

I own a Yamaha RBX 460 and a Yamaha RBX 774. Cracking basses both of them. Nicely made, easy to play, look good and didn't cost the earth. I also own basses by Dean, G&L and Warwick and I rarely touch them these days.

My first, current and only bass is an old RBX550-M that I picked up at a local second hand store, it being the only one I could afford. I love it to pieces. Did a serial search, was manufactured around 1987 I believe so it's about as old as me. Tone wise it rips up most other cheap basses I've heard, and I just love the way it feels - slimmer neck, low action, and just damn comfortable. Won't be upgrading any time soon.

I play Yamaha Motion B II That I bought new 18 years ago. In 2000 I bought a MIM Fender Jazz and got rid of it this past christmas. I still play with the Yamaha .
