now that's nice...I don't know about the pickups...but they're not active EMG's at any rate

interestingly, Yamaha hasn't really strayed from the body design (can be found on the RBX370 and RBX375, for instance)

For being a consumer of Yamaha's other line of products (you know, the ones with an engine), I can tell you they adopt the same philosophy.

From year to year, little evolves. One year, 2 lbs less. Next year, 2 more HPs. Then one year, injection.

The Japs do not innovate, they follow. :scowl:

Any of you guys know if this bass came in two versions? One with low cost bridge and pickups and one with Gotoh bridge and pickups made by EMG?

I'm willing to be those were after market mods. Interesting, too, since those were the mods I put on my RBX260 before I sold it.

I just got a RBX-5 given to me today because of one my teacher knew stoped playing, but i can't find anything about it... althrough it seems old, well used... but it's an awesome bass
