So i just got off the phone with GC and the schector bass i ordered is gunna take another 4-6 weeks to get so i got them to give me the Warwick corvette standar instead...i get to pick it up today....YEAH

Keep it waxed, change the strings ASAP, and have it set up unless you can properly do it yourself. You won't wanna put it down! Also, post some pics of it in the Warwick club thread, and let me know when you wanna be in the club.

Yep make sure you wax it well! And i agree with the set up..

Good solid bass. I have a early 90s pro-line

Hmmm. What do you wax daywalker? I was confused by this... I bought some wax and was told to not wax my warwick... I have a black Corvette 5 string $$.

You're suposed to wax the "natural" unfinished ones. EX. thumb/Streamer SSII/Vette(standard not finished proline ect)

Good catch on the vette...and i agree...wax...although i do not like the warwick wax...I prefer Howard feed n Wax

good stuff, i'm a rockbass player myself (close enough). The only real problem i've had with them is that the input jack becomes loose all the time, it's worth getting a new one. Also, don't wax it, keep it natural baby!

If it's black... then it's just the neck thats unfinished... Wax the back of the neck and oil the fretboard.

+1 on the feed-n-wax... I usually max a mixture of feed-n-wax/linseed oil & tung oil... Makes my thumb look great

Ohh man i went into a music store the other day and they had 3 warwicks setting out that have not been waxed in like 2 years. It was awful to see. I told them about the wax and they had no idea.

Congrats on the 'Wick! They're the best basses in the world IMHO. A piece of advice, however--get a wide strap.

Are you saying they sold you the warwick for the same price as the schecter??

Not exactly...they said the red that i got usually is more but the discounted me a lil bit, thanx guys, i already change to my ernie balls and had it set up, how often should i wax it?

I don't think you need to wax that one, everyone here thinks of the Corvette Standard as being Bubinga, they now come w/ ash bodies and colored also.
This is new guys.
