How heavy is it? My Bubinga Standard was REALLY heavy. My $$ is normal (if there is a normal).
Why would anyone paint Bubinga? I'll be honest, I just saw them in the music store and didn't pick one up, so seeing it painted I assumed it was the same body as a $$. They look the same.
Some salesmen don't know their *** from a hole in the ground.
I just talked to one of my salesmen, he says " It's Swamp Ash, sandblasted to give it that cool texture". No you don't have to wax that one.

I wouldn't think bad of it. My Katana and Drity Blonde Thumb are Ash along w/ my $$. They sound great. I got rid of the standard, it was just too heavy.ok sounds good....less work more play!
Any peice of unfinished wood (natural) needs to be waxed (the fretboard needs to be oiled) You can wax it once a month or so... And oil the fretboard every string change (they say a little bit of oil works... But I usually go nuts and oil it real good with linseed oil and let it sit for an hour or so them rub off the excess) Make sure you get all the excess oil off the fretboard or your strings will go dead fast

im thinkin about a fretless 5 string for my next bass but in not 100% yet....i think im gunna sell my strat first.

I've wanted a Warwick Corvette 4 string for a LONG time...
idk why but i love the big fat neck on a four string, 5-6 strings have to be *THIN* for me tho.

i love it, it plays fast and smooth, sweet sound, awsome bass... thats y i think the next one will be another 4 or maybe a 5 string fretless corvette.
