If you answered no to both questions, the bass is not crap.
Great basses and crap basses can come from any mass produced maker, in any year.

The build quality. Scratchy frets, uneven fretboards, poorly cut nut slots, grinding tuner gears, volume and tone pot nuts not tightened down, loose pickup screws… I tried my best not to sell those Squier bass packs that came with everything in the box purely because of how many would come back within in days if not the same day with these issues.Why are these so bad?
