Gerald V Casale of DEVO plays like that, too.

Quite a different style of music, and he's not exactly a chopsmaster....

But Casale is a quite cometent player for sure and a gifted singer/songwriter.

It's easier than it looks. Basically, Haslip plays a bass tuned in fifths, high to low instead of a bass tuned in fourths, low to high.

But FWIW, this Owl absolutely DEPSISES the yellow jacket insect, these things are just plain mean and nasty (not to mention the sting is quite painful)!
