Yet another reason to dump IE and go Firefox

Apparently now an exploit has been found that allowes phishers to make IE display an exact duplicate of a trusted website address in the address bar and even make it show that the website is encrypted. So now when you click on those links to update your account from some poorly written email then it will show an exact replica of the page from, say, Ebay as well as appearing to have a root address of www.ebay.com in the address bar.

People who are stupid enough to follow those links and fill them out do not deserve to own a PC, much less use Firefox.

Our local news station did a story on a guy who fell for one of those. The angle of the story was to feel sorry for the man. I felt like calling him at work and laughing.
