Yet another reason to dump IE and go Firefox

Uh, IE 6 actually blocks pop-ups now, I get spyware even when I use Firefox, I've downloaded skins for IE, updates are free for IE as well (it's called Windows Update ;)), and you can pretty much customize any feature of IE the way you want it, if you know the right files to edit.

Go take a look at the feature list for Firefox and the hundreds of extensions that the community has put out, and compare that to what you can do with IE. Then, go read up on Opera's feature list and what you can do customization-wise with a simple set of .ini files in that browser. Then, come back here and tell us how great IE's skins and 'customization options' are with a straight face.

I dare you.

Calm down man. I was just pointing out, that while IE's customization options may be limited, they are there.

Yet another reason to dump PC and go Mac.
or just get linux. use it for eveything except games. just partition the hard drive and have a dual boot system. that way you get the best of both worlds. the greatest operating sysytems in the world and you can still play games using unfortunately windows.

somebody said that windows is more user friendly than linux. thats crap! i started computer science this year and our facilities in college includes about 30 machines running mandrake, i was always under the impression that linux was like old dos with command lines needed everywhere but then i tried it and saw that it is same basis as windows. you have menu bars etc. and it is probably easier to use than windows and logs on to the college server quicker.

the main reason i always thought it was hard to use was because people like you saying that it was. linux is great and everyone should use .it.
