Yet another "Whats this guy thinking!" thread

Proof that no planning or forethought was put into that travesty.

I mean really, its your bass but sometimes I just hate people...I had no idea stupidity was "custom".

Take advantage of my stupidity and delusions of grandeur! From my inept mind and unskilled hands to yours! Only 5 times list price.

puh-effing-leeeeeeeeze.

Here's another hacked Soundgear:

Judging by the pickup and bridge, it once was an '88-90 800LE. Now it's just a refinned mess.

Dear god is that headstock decal really necessary? :rollno:

"Ibanez Custom" :rollno:

Judging by the pickup and bridge, it once was an '88-90 800LE. Now it's just a refinned mess. Here's what I wrote to the seller:

'That bass was a circa 1989 Ibanez Soundgear 800LE before someone stripped it, repainted it, and added the pickguard. The DeArmond knobs are unoriginal, the 'Ibanez Custom' decal is homemade, and the EMG pickups are unoriginal. On the rear, the control cover is unoriginal, and a 5th neck screw has been added. That bass in original condition might be worth what you're asking, but as it is, probably not worth more than $100 as a player.'

I emailed the seller and asked him if he ate paint chips as a kid.

Too funny! :D

But as your next post stated about his reply, it is not his bass.

And how much do you wanna bet the guys at the shop that are selling this poor thing laugh their asses off and cry a bit, just like we do? But the fun part is, they will sell that to someone and make some cash. We are doing this for free....
