The happy: I have an audition for a garage/grungeish rock band tonight!:hyper::hyper:
The sad: My favorite bass (Alembic Persuader) is currently in Rudy Pensa's shop along with my Fender P bass Elite.
The good: Both basses I have at home now I are very good, and are in ready to play condition.

So, which do I bring?

Ideally a P.

If not the Skyline. Only take one bass. More will seem like the instrument selection is more important than laying down a solid groove. AND you know what you're there for!

Cheers

I actually don't own a "normal" P bass per sè.

I have my P Elite 2 which is an active bass with a bridge pup, my Squier Mike Dirnt which, while being stock, sounds like a Stingray or a Wal, and my VM P which is so boring, I couldn't even be arsed to mod the living crap out of it.
