Yorkville Bassmaster 50

I owned this one ...http://www.traynoramps.com/products.asp?type=7&cat=64&id=369 for 5-6 years. I don't think it much different from the one you are looking at. It was awesome!! I got $250 for my Yorkville on trade. It has a DI out which I loved and it had unbelievable tone!! The thing was built solid and I never had any issues with it.

In fact I used it in the church band (DI to FOH) as a monitor. it had more than enough ooomph to it .

GAS was the reason I sold it.... I decided to get something more powerful and as light I could use in other situations. I was tired of dragging my stuff to gigs.

So I bought an SWR WorkingPro 12. I sold that within 6 months because it was too heavy and underpowered. (got what I paid for it though)

I ended up getting a Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 112T. ... That put me back $1200 plus tax .. but it fits the rest of the bill perfectly and is now main amp for everything

For $100 ... scoop it up!!

HI .... Try it out. If you are new to bass ... this is an excellent practice amp. Chances are once you get better and decide what you really want, you will be able to get your money back.

Another thing about this amp .. it has head phones and a line in so you plug you iPod in ... and practice with head phones on

I was going to get the acoustic B20 then saw Yorkville.
I am new to bass so input would be helpful. Pros and cons between the two.
I have one I use at home. Great little amp. Louder than it should be and a nice sound. Mine is the Yorkville XM50C, but basically the same amp although a few of the later goodies might be missing. Mine has an XLR direct out, RCA inputs for CD and a headphone out.

Apologies for necro-posting, but I scored this little amp with the blue carpet in a box lot of bass items I bought, and can't get over how powerful and clean sounding it is for its size. There was a Crate BT15 in the lot which is also quite good, but nowhere near the Yorkville Bassmaster 50..
