you ever lick your fingers while playing?

A coating of fast fret on the strings from bridge to nut works for me.

Lubricant eye drops is pretty slippery to and might work well to put a drop on finger tips, and its sterile.

I used to do that back in the 70's, I was just a teen but right hand was pretty fast.
But what I found out was that it kept calluses from forming properly. After I stopped doing that calluses formed and skin was smooth so didnt need to do that. Some ppl thought it was kinda cool....but I dunno, seems kinda funny now. Although I saw a video of Freddy Washington and noticed it looked like he was doing it...one of my favorite bassists...but still...
