Double Bass "You forgot your tape?!"

Jack,

Next time you see Bob, tell him hello for me. I studied with him when I was in college. Great player and all around remarkable human!

Thanks,

John

I've been doing a lot of traveling, so I just today ran into Bob again and told him hello for you. He said you were a guitar student of his who lived near him and that he very much welcomed you paying for your lessons with bottled water and beer—which was at his request, I think. He said that he heard you had moved to Seattle and were playing bass. He wanted to know if you were still playing bass guitar. I told him that I'd run into you on the double bass side of this forum, so . . . ?

I once turned up at a gig without my amp - I had travelled from one side of the country in Wales - right to the other side for a gig and was so tired I didn't know where I was.

I was able to plug into the p.a. so it wasn't a total disaster, but it was a big band and I could only hear a delayed version of what I played off the back wall, as I had no foldback! There were some timing issues! :p
