I know I'm a pedal head....

....after convincing myself numerous times that my board really is complete, that one more 'final' pedal would finally make it MORE complete even though I don't have any more room on my board
....after buying yet another envelope filter (my sixth - yet thinking I'll hang onto the others as they are all very different and I still need them all)
....directly after buying said env filter I thought I'd have another sneaky little look on evil-Bay just to see what else is out there
....thinking maybe it's time I start a new more compact second pedal board
....looking at the TB Effects forum on a far too regular basis.
....spending more time fiddling around with my effects than improving my playing.

I need help

I've been told acceptance is the first step in the road to recovery.

My wife is threatening to cancel our Wi-Fi subscription (....but I still have access at work.... Mwuahahahaha... MWWUUAAHHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!!!! !! ).

You know you're a pedal head if you bring your big board with 9 pedals to the rehearsal spot knowing full well that the particular set list you're practicing for only requires one, the compressor. How that happened, I'll never figure out. It's a pretty short set, I suppose. Just so happens the songs we're not playing use the effects. It'll be nice not to have to tap-dance around for a change...

Hmm, on second thought, maybe there's one song that could use the filter.... the octave might sound good on that third song in the set... some wah? Better bring the whole board to the show tomorrow too.
