Guys,guys,guys (and gals)...... You ain't gigged until you've gigged in the southern coalfields of WV. BTW,what's a urinal? I've played a club,or two before that had a row of outhouses. Yes,city slickers,that means doin' yer business outside. The most common is the bathroom with a couple of holes in the floor where toilets used to be,with shattered porcelain layin' around. Damn buckshot and lead....
I played another bar that had an almost waist-high wide rain gutter running along the side of the building to piss in. Lookin' back,I don't remember where the women were pissin' at..... What's wild is,I never,ever walk out of those dives without havin' a good time,and at the very least a $100.00 in my pocket.

Sounds like the wilds of NW Florida/SE Alabama. Places that don't serve anything in a glass container to keep the ambulance calls down.

Played there New Year's Eve! No lie! Or, at least this VFW had the same targets (Columbia, SC).

Grayson, KY here, but I suppose the mentality is the same in all of those places.

That's so funny! I played a gig in Picayune Mississippi and the bar owner came up to the stage to make an announcement. "The urinal in the Mens room is broke. Someone throwed up in it." Rock On!

Ever been to Gilbert? I did sound there for Daryl Singletary show for a 4x4 rally. Overflow for the motel was somebody's trailer. I've done some bar shows in Williamson area, and been to Logan a few times, but Gilbert was. The worst place I've ever worked.

It's been a long time since I saw ice in the piss trough or urinals. I think the urinal mint made the use of ice obsolete.

That's a major case of false advertising by the way, they ain't that minty.

many moons ago they had these things that looked like you could feed cattle in them - 12' long with a trickle of water running downhill one way lol

they were commercially acceptable for bars

Surprisingly I have another VFW gig at a different post this Saturday. I'll be looking for the urinal targets when I have to go. Hey, I had a great time at the other post. Great bunch of folks. I salute all vets, and current personnel.

Some places have little flies printed in the urinals. Something to aim at, I suppose.

they've actually done the scientific research to determine that those little fly targets result in less pee on the floor at the end of the night.

When we did that show in Gilbert a couple of years back, we brought a 26 foot box truck and a tour bus with a trailer across Horsepen Mountain. I think we passed ourselves going down that hill with all the curves!

I'm used to bathrooms where the hardware (both for standing and sitting) has stains from years of use and non-cleaning.
