I go through phases where each of my basses is number one for a while, then I'll get a crush on another one and so on. At the time, though, I do feel an attachment to that particular instrument. They all have their merits.

+1. That's how I felt the first time I picked up a Wilkins 5 string. I have 2 of them now and haven't even thought about adding other basses, even after a a few years a counting. Got a big long rehearsal later today with the <8 pounder...
