I'm playing a Dargie StingRay HH, in the first video, and a 78 StingRay in the 2nd one.nice! cool bass tone (and cool line and song as well).
Ha, my camcorder isn't good for picking up bass tones but thanks
here's another from that night with a good grindy OD tone that's easier to hear:
Hi
Not really sure how to do do a link
If this doesnt work search youtube for "the company: times are tough"
You have to really listen for the bass but you can see me in all my glory- I cant remember slappin` in `87!!
I remember the bass- late 70`s jazz got nicked from a gig later
Singer was the face of coca cola some years later ( dont know how!! )
What a blast from the past- the good thing is I have improved with age ( bass playing only )
Cheers
Bob
one of the music stores i teach at wanted a "promo" video for the website. i had just finished up for the day and the owner is like
"come on lets go make this video for the website"
my response- "why?"
his-"to promote the teachers"
me-"*** am i supposed to play?"
him-"just play something!"
me-"grumble,harumph,aargh etc"
result-solo bass wackness with the "can i go home now" face at the end
total number of bass students added to my schedule since then-0![]()

This is my band (JP-10) playing at a Halloween party two weekends ago... The recording really isn't the greatest, but hopefully, you get the idea. Just FYI, I was dressed as Michael Vick in an orange jumpsuit...
Anyway:

Longview (we played this one way too slow - and I made quite a few mistakes):

Please leave some comments - good, bad or indifferent!
We had another Halloween party this past weekend, still downloading the video for that one though.
Don't expect any searing bass solos.... Its pretty minimalist backup stuff:

That was pretty great! Thanks for sharing
LOL I just realised I spammed this thread up with comments xD
Ok here are my submissions (covers). Two of the videos have terrible sound quality because my room vibrates when certain notes are played, distorts badly so put your volume down if yah are going to watch it.
So here they are.
Domination-Pantera (not distorted, best sounding one)
http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=dqLNrNfp3qg
The Trooper- Iron Maiden (worst video in sound)
http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=B-VK4rUGE-I
Seek & Destroy-Metallica (distorted)

If you can, some feedback would be great, thanks.
