Update on my sound.
I finally had a chance to play both my Warwick Corvette and my new Warwick rig together in a live situation the other night. I have actually found my sound in this combination, and I love it. I had people complimenting me on my tone, too, which was a first.
I thought 'my sound' was a Fender Precision with flats through any amp I could get my hands on. I suppose it's a symptom of spending too much time reading and thinking about what sound could be cool, and not enough actually getting out there and trying stuff. That is to say, so many people are into a Precision with flats now that I got to thinking it was also my own personal preference. Yes, it sounds awesome, but it's not me. I'm a Warwick guy now, through and through.
