The Combustion has a more traditional tone, made in china, chunky neck, EMG pre amp a good bass, with a nice sound, weighs about 8.7lbs
The ABII has a wider range of sounds on offer via the Glockenklang pre amp, made in Canada, the neck is slimmer and has banjo frets fitted, and you do notice the difference in quality straight away ,also has a chambered body and weighs 8.5 lbs
Its like having two cars one will take from A to B , and then the other one does it in style
My current fave (and only option now) is the SB5000. Love my Carvin 5er.
Thank you for your impressions. I'm wondering which one came first? Seriously dreaming of a AB II!
