I tried the Nickel Rotos once and didn't like them, new or broken in. And I generally prefer nickels over steel in most bass strings, but with the Roto 66s I love the steel, definitely my favorite round.

Everly Super Bass....I think.
They came on a CS Jazz I purchased years ago...the previous owner didn't remember what they were, and they had no silks or coloured ball ends, so I had to try to work out what they were based on winding length....I've bought another set to compare to see if I was right.
Whatever they are, they've been on for years...and they still maintain a nice rounded low end with enough crisp top for a bit of slap, and sound better than any other rounds I've tried so far.

My favorites are the Ken smith compressors though those are half round. I'd have to go with NYXL, Fodera nickel rounds, or Markley SR2000s.
DR Hi Beams last me well over a year and really sound amazing those last 6 months. The best worn nickel string, by far, for me are Dunlop Super Brights.
