I know there are tons of Fender Basses so I'm going to keep this to just current models (as of 7/16/13 :bassist: ) and keep it to the broad model. Lets see if the Precision/Jazz are really the most popular... (lol they probably are).

Notes: All artist series and vintage series fall under their respected model.
Any I forgot?

Given the choices in this stated "current model" poll, I'd have to go with my new Blacktop Jazz. The aggressive tones I get out of it, it's weirdo-hybrid of Jazz/Precision basses and last, but not least, the comparably affordable price-point, all had a hand in my decision to purchase one.

Caaaaaaaan yooooouuuuu dig iiiiiiiit?!

Very much it's own animal. Getting harder to find now that people are realizing how perfect an example of a P it is. The tone knob has an amazingly wide range, and the A-string retainer is something that Fender should out on all of their basses.

Best P-bass I've ever played.

But it's a one of a kind selfpresent

Even if I deeply miss my former American Standard Jazz bass (olympic white, rosewood, tortoiseshell) models I really know and love are MIM (Reggie Hamilton's Jazz and) BlackTop Jazz

So, my vote goes for dual split coils MIM BlackTop Jazz bass.

WOW. That is one of the mos beautiful things Ive seen (the bass, not the dog hehe the dogs not bad but I have a weakness for that bass big time). Ive always wanted one of these. I suppose before I die I will grab one. I hope. Is this the one with the pretty chunky neck?

I agree, I love American Precisions, but I LOVE my 60th Anniversary P. He did say that he was sticking to current production models in this poll, so the MIA P got my vote.
