I remember one that made me laugh a lot then, but it doesn't make any sense now: Our friend and moderator Mark Wilson used to have "Geddy Lee" as his TB user name. After one of his posts, another TBer expressed his surprise and joy to see that (the real) Geddy Lee was a registered TalkBass user and was actively posting in the forums. I was like
