Your favourite Mass prodeuced bass

The quality of mass-produced basses available is pretty good, I must say.

Lots of bassists need something different, but speaking for us old guys, gimme a Fender '51 Precision Reissue with TI Jazz Flats and I'll go away and annoy someone else.

'Nuff said. I have the one in natural and have never needed more. It slaps, it plucks, it does the low stuff, the high stuff, neck feels comfy, bass sits well, EQ is very easy to adjust unlike some higher-end basses I've tried where mids = nasal honk. Quite simply one hell of a bass, and you can generally find em for around $700. I've been especially partial to pics of this bass in trans red:

I love Schecter's C4 and Damien basses:

My band's guitar player swears by Schecter instruments. He plays a Damien FR guitar. We were in studio recording a demo over the weekend, so he and the studio manager made me play a Schecter C4-XXX, and it was love at first sight. Schecter basses have a great feel and sound for the style of music we play, so I'm gonna get one ASAP.
