Your favourite neck?

The Fender "B" sized all maple necks from the 1st generation Precision Basses. Now found on the '51 reissue, Sting, and Paisley basses.

I really like the neck on my Peavey Millennium. I also prefer satin finishes. Unfinished is also nice.

I dunno...the neck and body seem nicely matched to me: well balanced, nice ergos, great top. Unfortunately, the tone is horrible:

The well-worn comfort of the B-neck on my 1968 Fender P is the closest I've found to perfect for me.

I've found that the necks on Skjolds and some Alembics have been the most comfortable for me to play. A close third is the asymmetrical neck on the USA Hamer Cruise 5's.

The most comfortable neck that I ever played was my old 1968 4001 ... I would still be playing it if it could handle 5 strings ...

Modern C, maple or wenge, unfinished. For me the best necks I've ever played on are the Ibby SR type (by far the fastest and smoothest). That's why I stick to my Ibbys and Corts.

Ibanez sr505 wenge/bubinga 5 pcs neck unfinished much more comfy than Stingray's to me.

MTD asymetrical neck. After four hours, your hands will thank you.

and...

Alembic. Long, straight, thin, and sturdy. Very different animal from the MTD, but very good in its own way.
