The Tigers pitching staff is scary. But the A's are young and not afraid. Hey, they were picked to lose 100 games, and won 94.:D

The Oakland A's swept the best lineup in baseball, and won the division. Where's Brad Pitt & Jonah Hill.:)

I was rooting for the A's. Now the Rangers have to play a do or die one game playoff. As far as I'm concerned the one team I don't want to play if I'm the Tigers is the Rangers. Having said that, I'm not claiming the Tigers are any better than the Orioles, A's, the Tigers are certainly a flawed team.

So close yet so far. Good season, Dodgers. A lot of good memories this year.

I like Oakland or Baltimore in the AL--just not the Yankees please. & I don't care who goes for the NL I just hope it isn't the Giants. Still pissed.

It's not about who you're playing. It's about when you're playing them. Right now the Rangers don't look like they're playing as good as they have been. The A's, on the other hand, look hot. That could change at any moment but the Tigers have been playing .700 baseball here lately and the White Sox have been playing .300. That's how we caught up. I just hope that will continue into the playoffs.

Well, the Braves, as has been their custom lately, stumbled into a wild card spot. I'm very afraid that they're one and done. They are not playing with any urgency, IMO. Chris Medlen cannot win games all by himself.

Posey gets batting title - first NL catcher since the 1940's. Even more amazing in his first season back since he had his ankle blown out in that home plate collision last year.
I'd love to see him get the MVP. I think it's an incredibly strong case, and a great story.

Posey and Belt are my 2 favorite players on the Giants. Posey is such a class act in all regards. They both do what is asked of them without complaint or grumbling.

Good memories of tossing out 240 million to buy the division and not winning it anyway?
:p

I get a major kick out of the Dodgers and Angels each spending tons of money and getting beaten by their NorCal rivals with much lower payrolls. With the A's, it's freakin' incredible. It's like entering NASCAR with your stock Scion and winning.
