Your most and least expensive basses

Indeed I am, Rich, and thank you. Pushing 80, still walking for my health, and grandfathering. I closeted my Barker about 5 years ago. My hands are high-mileage units from 30+ years as a tradesman, but I left plenty of notes for you younger folks to play.

If I were to order my Dingwall Super PJ5 would cost upwards of $4000 but I paid less than half that to buy a used Super P and had it refinished and a bridge pickup installed several years ago now.

My cheapest bass is a Glarry GW101 which cost me all of $64 on eBay.

Least: Parts Pbass: Roughly 250$ CAD after modding it over the years.

^^^specs: Redfox pbass copy basswood body, unbranded high mass bridge, Duncan Hot for Pbass pickups wired to a 1meg audio volume & 500K tone, switchcraft output, Fender Branded 70's reissue tuning keys, Aftermarket j bass maple/rose neck.

Most: Home Built Ripper inspired/tribute Bass about 600-700$ CAD

^^^Specs: Maple neck, Purpleheart board, 2 piece plywood body, Wilde L90 Pickups, 4 position rotary, 1meg volume, 500K linear Mid control, 500K linear tone control, switchcraft output, unbranded made in japan 3 point bridge, schaller BM nickel tuners. It's not finished as i still need to carve a separate wood piece for the headstock & paint it whole in red.

Here's an update on The Ripper bass. As it's been complete for the better part of 2 years.

Sold most of my "expensive" basses during this last months, I'm keeping only what I really play.

Left is my most expensive bass, a 2011 American Special Precision, upgraded with Hipshot tuners and Nordstrand NP4V pickups; on the right my less expensive one, a modded Squier Bronco with Dimarzio Fast Track 2 pickup and Hipshot hardware.

Most expensive? 5 string Veilette fretless archtop I got in trade. Would cost 6 grand to replace.
Least expensive?
Wishbass fretless 5 Piezo...$200. I put about 5 hours of sanding and filing. Bridge saddle is still cut wrong. Greatest $200 bass ever.
